My Home Shatila

Year: 2019

Last March we joined Swiss NGO HEKS/EPER to produce a virtual reality portrait of Fadia, a 14-year-old Palestinian-Syrian refugee, living in Shatila refugee camp in Beirut, Lebanon.

Fadia and her family live in a small appartment, with walls and ceilings that are covered in mold. She dreams of becoming a lawyer one day, but is confined to the refugee camp.
Electric wires run through the streets and buildings and make for dangerous situations; not seldom even causing casualties.

HEKS/EPER helps families like Fadia’s to improve their quality of life by renovating appartments.

The film will be used for street activations in the coming year(s) and will help to raise awareness and donors. You can visit the campaign website and watch the film here.
